On the 30th of March this year my Pops had a severe stroke. We were told it was unlikely he would make it and that if he did, the damage he had suffered would be life changing. The last 12 weeks have been the most difficult that my family have ever endured.

Countless trips to the hospital most days, the worry, all whilst fitting in caring for my Mum sorting her shopping, cleaning, meals, medication, daily visits making sure she is not lonely and that she’s ok, finances, trying to fit in my work, my art, the running of my own house and the care of my own family has felt almost impossible at times. I’m not ashamed to admit that it has almost broken me.

The people that have shown up, I will NEVER forget them, offers of help, the kind words, the messages, the phone calls, the prayers, the visits, the offers to help Mum, have all shown me just how lucky I am and just how loved my parents are.

My work mates looking after me, checking on me, I feel very grateful. The best friends, taking me to and from hospital each week, listening to me checking on me and helping me in endless ways.

My husband Tim has been by my side throughout this whole experience. My feelings for him have reached a whole new depth. He has visited my Mum and my Dad as much as me and looked after me and my children without one word of complaint. All whilst fitting in his own job, his freelance work and coping with caring for my lovely Father in law who suffered a cracked vertebrae and was also hospitalised several weeks ago. Tim is simply the best person I know. 🩷

I have often taken Father’s Day for granted. Not this year! ❤️

Today , my Pops comes home! 🥰

My Mum and Dad back together again under the same roof for the first time in 3 months. I am so grateful. 🥹

A lovely evening spent at the private viewing for the opening night of this years @lpoolartfair which was held at the iconic Royal Liver Buildings. So many beautiful paintings and artwork from some very talented local artists. I feel very privileged that two of my paintings have been included in this years exhibition. If you would like to take a look, the art fair is running from the 12th June until the 26th of July, 7 days a week from 12-5pm and is free entry!

She has a name! Introducing ‘Bella Notte’ meaning ‘Beautiful Night’. I try to name all my paintings after songs and I am a huge fan of @ludovico_einaudi. I listen to a lot of his music whilst I am creating and have also named several of my paintings after it too. Here is another one, I hope you like it x
